watch: Magic in the Moonlight

watch: Magic in the MoonlightI never know what to expect when it comes to Woody Allen movies. Most of his earlier works have been based on realistic situations like falling in love with a free spirit…or with your wife’s sister? But in the 2000s, most of his work had a sort of magical element which could be seen in “Scoop” or “Midnight in Paris”. For his latest yearly movie, “Magic in the Moonlight”, Allen borrows elements from both of the aforementioned movies. Set in 1920s France, the film follows Colin Firth as a magician who is brought in to help expose a spiritualist who might be a con artist played by Emma Stone. Yet, surprise surprise, when two charming people meet up, they become charmed by each other and it’s charming to watch. Not only am I excited for this film, I’m also excited to see the vintage fashion and of course Stone’s red carpet outfits for the promotion. The film will be released on July 25th, but you can watch the trailer here. Just thought I might suggest…
