live Fire Up my FireplaceIn the morning, it’s 50 degrees and at night, the temperature drops to 30. My friends, it is time to light a match (or turn a knob) and rev up the fireplace. When I was in college, my apartment had a fireplace and it was the envy of my friends. I didn’t dare use it because my apartment was a little crappy and the house it was in was shoddy and I lived in constant fear of burning down the place. In lieu of light a log for warm, I took the Architectural Digest way out of using it and instead lined the inside with candles of various sizes and heights and made it a decorative piece. But it’s freezing now and the fireplace in my house has a more powerful effect on the warmth on my house than the heater. It’s been long overdue and now it’s time: indoor campfire parties start today, you should join me. Just thought I would suggest…
