While that might sound a little intense for some, there is a way to ease into the trend without making your home look like Halloween all year round. My inspiration for this idea comes from the black globe featured above can be found in actress Lea Michele’s home. I think it is such a striking, unexpected piece of decoration (something which can easily be recreated at home) and it’s incredibly chic and would not overwhelm a living space. One of my own favorite rooms was when I did everything in soft, icy (but not boring) colors, and finished the space with my black baby grand piano. I love your idea of the black globe, and I actually like the idea of a fair amount if black in a room, especially if it’s done with lots of different textures

I’m SO the fan! Currently in the process of making over my creative space for a slightly goth/neo-edwardian feel. So, I’m all for the black accents! Going to search for your other black decor post!
