drink: Almond Milk

drink Almond MilkOver the past few years, my affinity for milk has dwindled. In fact, the only milk I really drink is chocolate milk, or milk that has been blending in with chocolate ice cream to make a chocolate milkshake.  I recently was introduced to almond milk and I have been hooked ever since. Almond milk isn’t actually milk (which is probably why I like it so much); it is almond grinded in a blender with water, which creates a creamy texture. You can purchase almond milk at your local grocery store, but it is surprisingly easy to make at home. Because I like a little flavor in my milk, I have included the recipe for vanilla almond milk. Bottoms up! Just thought I would suggest…

I’ve been drinking almond milk too for a while now. Find it is much easier on my stomach and more natural. It is still high in calcium so you are not losing the nutritional value of milk but is less fattening. All good.
    Great post. 😃

  3. I love almond milk, and am so amazed at the recipe being so simple…I am so going to make some. I drink a lot of oat milk but almond probably has the edge for me. If I can make my own, then that is it for me. Just want to find some pretty little bottles to store it in now 🙂

I first started drinking almond milk when I found it in the supermarket and loved it. Sadly, I developed a rash. I’m thinking I’ll try making it myself to see if that will make a difference.

  1. […] Almond Milk: My stomach has never been more grateful for this find. As I’ve gotten older, my ability to digest milk in large quantities has diminished. Almond milk is a healthier, easier, and tasty way for me to get my daily intake of calcium. […]

  2. […] all you need is a spoonful of the  powder and then mix in water or any variety of milk (I prefer almond) and it’s ready to go and it can be served hot or cold. It’s definitely worth a try. […]
