appreciate: JR

appreciate JRI think some of the most moving pieces of modern art are the ones that interact with our everyday lives. French artist JR takes that philosophy and runs with it. JR is known for a different kind of street art, where he flyposts large scale black and white photographs in public spaces that usually have an underlying social commentary. One of my favorite projects that he has done recently is “Inside Out”, where he took portraits of regular citizens all over the world and covered Times Square with their portraits. His work is very interesting and my words are underselling it; it is just something you need to see for yourself. More of his work can be found here. Just thought I would suggest…
