wear: 65th Primetime Emmy Awards
So the Emmys were on last night, just like every award show that aired this summer, my priorities were with watching the second to last episode of “Breaking Bad”. I did make time as always to watch the red carpet and I also watched some of the show (I love Neil Patrick Harris, but wasn’t impressed with what I saw). The fashion was a complete 189 degrees from what it was last year; it definitely was a lot less colorful than last year, but there was still some gems. I have decided to pick my top 10 in no particular order.
1. Elizabeth Moss in Andrew Gn. It always amazes me how much more beautiful and stylish she is than her “Mad Men” character. She led the charge with the black and white palette that was very popular tonight.
2. Rose Byrne in Calvin Klein. The Emmys isn’t typically an award show I associate with bare midriffs but this simple silhouette makes it look classic and elegant.
3. Claire Danes in Armani Prive. I love this dress and I love Claire Danes, but she does not fill this dress out very well. Maybe with some double sided tape to give her a lift and this would be a top dress for sure.
4. Kate Mara in J. Mendel.
5. Kerry Washington in Marchesa. She literally can do no wrong. I’m not going to lie, I was expecting a little more out of her Emmy nominated debut gown, but she looks lovely here.
6. Anna Gunn in Romona Keveza. SO HAPPY SHE WON! She looked absolutely amazing from head to toe. This was her night.
7. Zosia Mamet in Honor. Even though she could pretend to be a little happier to be there, this dress was pretty. I love the watercolor effect in the skirt.
8. Kristen Connolly. This dress reminds me of Valentino and the slinky, sleeky gown looks great on her with her make up.
9. Kiernan Shipka in Delpozo . This Emma Watson look-a-like loves is the queen of age appropriate red carpet dresses. Usually, she keeps it classic, but she switched it up with this fun print.
10. Morgan Saylor in Honor. If you watch “Homeland”, you know how strange it is to see her smile. She truly is beautiful and I love this fresh take on the black and white dress.

[…] has been on my radar since “Mad Men” star Kiernan Shipka wore a gown from their spring 2014 line to the Emmys. I love the color and structure of this gown. Only a very tall woman could make this […]
Love Claire Danes, but ummm get a new stylist. Classic is your look
Completely agree, A for Effort, but that dress was not for her body type
I thought Anna Gunn looked absolutely radiant! I love the black lace with the blush colour.
I think she was my favorite of the night
My favorite look of the night was Anna Faris – looved the bright yellow gown and the way her hair was styled. I also really liked January Jones & Rose Byrne.
