explore: Giethoorn, Holland

Giethoorn, Holland,It’s funny to think about how far we have come to the world: you can be connected with anyone anywhere in the world within a matter of minutes. Yet, in Giethoorn, Holland, you might have to do a little extra work just to see your neighbor three houses down. The phrase, “the road less traveled” comes to mind because there are no roads in this town. Everything in this picturesque town is connected by waterways and a few bike paths. It is like something straight out of a Dr. Seuss book. Before summer officially winds down, I would love to visit a town like Giethoorn for an literally and figurative getaway.
