listen: Mayer Hawthorne

Mayer-HawthorneSongs: Just Ain’t Gonna Work Out, Your Easy Lovin’ ain’t Pleasin’ Nothin’, The Walk, The Ills

If you’re a fan of Robin Thicke and his song of the summer, “Blurred Lines”, then there is no reason why you would not be a fan of Mayer Hawthorne. Drawing inspiration from several classic R & B stars like Issac Hayes and Barry White, he takes the blueprint of classic song and makes it modern and fun. Once you hear his falsetto, you will be surprised that Mayer Hawthorne has had no vocal training. If that isn’t enough to convince you to check out Mayer Hawthorne, famous musicians like Kanye West and Justin Timberlake are outspoken fans.  If you have space on your iPod ( everyone knows that Apple likes to short change its customers in that department), you should make room for Mayer Hawthorne.
