eat: Bibimbap

BibimbapIt was only by chance that I came across this insanely delicious Korean dish. In my attempt to shake up my daily lunch routine, I was walking down K Street in downtown Washington DC when I came across a sign for bibimbap. My only real exposure to the dish was hearing actress Elizabeth Banks joke about it during one of her “The Hunger Games” press tours. I was curious to try it and I decided to try it. I watched in amazement as the chef mixed the rice, beef, scallions, carrots and what seemed like the hundreds of other ingredients and create a delicious dish full of complementary flavors that was also visually pleasing to the eye. If you want to make your own batch of bibimbap, a recipe can be found here. Mix all the ingredients and whadda got? Bippity Boppity Boo Bibimbap.
