eat: the Cronut
Every couple of years, food lovers and people and the food industry decide on what the next food trend would be. A couple of years ago, it was cupcakes, most recently, it was macarons, and now it seems that the latest food trend is cronut. A hybrid between the flaky Parisian bread and a fried breakfast dough, the cronut (which has been trademarked by its creator New York City chef Dominique Ansel) has been a craze that is sweeping the nation. For those of us who can’t (or won’t) stand in a half mile line to receive this delicious sweet treat, there are patriots on the internet who have deconstructed the cronut and have created their own recipes for donuts, this one included.
