explore: Reed Flute Cave, China
While I am a fan of architecture, I have to say that nothing beats the artistic work of nature. A great example of what nature can do can be seen in caves. Over the past year, I have suggested a few caves that should not be missed and I would like to add Reed Flute Cave to the list. Reed Flute Cave got its name from the kind of reed that grew within its wall, that was used to make flutes. It is located in Guilian, China and has been around for more that 180 million years. It is a popular tourist attraction in the city, drawing thousands of people each year to see the multicolored lighting that illuminates the caves. Based on the pictures I have seen, I can see why it’s so popular.
