explore: Lake Hillier, Australia
Whenever I see that is any other color than clear or blue, I am a little apprehensive (Blkwater anyone?). Yet, looking at pictures of Lake Hilier, which can be found in Western Australia, I think about how truly beautiful nature is. The source of the pink color is unknown, but is known that the color is permanent, and unlike Cano Cristales, the color doesn’t come from the reflection of any algae. The Pepto Bismol color can been seen from a far distance. As pretty and unique as this lake is, I’m not sure I would want to go for a swim in it, but I would love to visit.
