appreciate: Lorraine Christie

Lorraine ChristieJust by looking at the works of painter Lorraine Christie, I would have never guessed that she was from Ireland. Her romantic style brushstrokes and dreamy, hazy backdrops and subjects reminds me of the streets of Paris, London, or Paris. Maybe that is a testament to her work: that you can envision these people living their lives on the streets on whatever city they are from. Another element that makes her work so captivating is how most of her work looks like it is taking place on a rainy day, adding more to the romantic feel. The fact that the can be captured in a painting is awe-inspiring. Christie has had her work displayed in several art galleries around Europe and the United States. You can find more of her paintings here.
