appreciate: Tim Walker

Natalie Portman by Tim Walker for Miss Dior 2013If you have ever picked up an issue of Vogue or any world renowned fashion magazine, there’s  a good chance you are already familiar with photographer Tim Walker’s work. The British photographer began his career as the assistant to the famous photographer, Richard Avedon and at the age of 25, shot his first editorial in Vogue and he established a lucrative relationship with the magazine. Most of pictures have a dreamy, romantic, and whimsical feel to them. Looking at a Tim Walker photograph is like being transported into a dream that you never want to wake up from. Some of my favorite works that Tim Walker has done is the Miss Dior Cherie campaign, one of the shots are pictured above, in which he did everyone a favor a captured the work of director Sophia Coppola on a camera roll. More of Walker’s work can be found here.

Hi, I love Tim Walker’s work like the ones he did before closing of Ritz Paris last year . Those photos were my inspiration on my recent post on Ritz Pairs. So dreamy and fantasy-like. I didn’t know Miss Cherie’s ad was photographed by him…thanks for sharing this info. Cheers, Mrs. J
