Watch: The Sweetest Thing

I saw “The Sweetest Thing” with my friends when I was in the 7th grade, and it taught me more about sex than any after-school special. Looking back at it now as a 22 year old, I can’t believe I watched it as a youngster and I feel like it’s even more hilarious since I actually understand the dirty jokes. The movie stars Cameron Diaz, Selma Blair, and Christina Applegate as a group of friends who are dealing with the ins and outs of love in their own way.Blair’s character just got out of a relationship, Diaz’s is trying to be in one, & Applegate is the no-nonsense one who is independent and full of advice. Even though this movie was poorly received by reviews, I feel like it showed the potential of the raunchy female R-rated comedies like “Bridesmaids” and “For a Good Time”. If you’re in the mood for a mindless, funny movies you can watch by yourself or with your girlfriends, this is a perfect flick for you.

Perfectly succinct review, thank you for bringing this film to my attention, I’ve been looking for a good chickflick (that I haven’t seen!) for a while : )
