Listen: The Weeknd

Songs: High for This, Wicked Games, House of Balloons/Glass Table Girls

It’s a new year, my first post of 2013 and I have made a resolution to expose myself to music that I don’t normally listen to. For a couple years, there has been a lot of hype about Abel Tesfaye, also known as The Weeknd, a Canadian rapper/singer/songwriter/producer who has most famously worked with Drake. But, he also released a series of mixed tapes that he has complied into a “Trilogy”.  His official debut is to be released this year, and if it’s like any of the songs he has previously released, it can be expected that there will be heavy falsettos, slow jams, and dreamy beats. Definitely worth a listen.
