Drink: Spicy GingerMan Cocktail

The holiday season has officially begun! It is socially acceptable to start voluntarily listening to Christmas music (even though it’s still November, I’ll let it slide)! Festive winter drinks will  be spring up soon, so why don’t we get a head start with this ginger cocktail. Ginger is something that should be taken in moderation or else, it can lead to some insane burning in your mouth. Even with its possible danger, it’s one of my favorite seasonal ingredients, which can be found in gingersnaps, Starbucks gingerbread latte, and this gingerman cocktail. It’s pretty simple to make, here’s what you’ll need:

1 oz Vanilla Vodka
1 oz Hazelnut liqueur
1/2 oz Butterscotch Schnapps
2 oz Ginger Beer

Cinnamon stick

Combine all ingredients in a shaker and shake over ice. Pour over ice into a rocks glass and garnish with Cinnamon stick.

Bottoms up!

This sounds like my perfect cocktail, unfortunately I’ve not been able to get hold of butterscotch shnapps out here in Abu Dhabi, will need to wait till I’m home to pick up a bottle!

  4. Ginger is a fabulous food ingredient and, sadly, much underutilised, I think. Goes bloody well with chocolate, too. But I’ll take it with alcohol! Great recipe, thanks
