Explore: Giola Lagoon, Greece

Greece is known for its picturesque views, ancient monuments, and its unique architecture, but one of its hidden secrets is this little lagoon located off of the Thassos Islands. This natural warm water pool gives attendees amazing views of the ocean. It apparently is a lot of work to get there, but based on the pictures I have seen, it is definitely worth the trek. What I think is so cool about this secluded area (besides the fact that it’s secluded), is that there is a a little rock wall that separates the ocean from the lake, which makes a big difference temperature wise. If you ever get the chance to experience this place, you should definitely go.

If it’s anything like Atlantis in Ibiza then it’s totally worth it! We spent about 45 mins climb ling down the the side of a mountain and had a private lagoon all to ourselves it was so great: http://anythingsquirrelsquirrel.com/2012/09/09/secret-beaches-in-ibiza/
