Drink: Michelada

It’s the funniest thing: for some reason, I cannot stomach a Bloody Mary, but I’m obsessed with micheladas. The Mexican drink is made with beer, lime juice,  hot sauce, peppers, and different spices. Just like Bloody Marys, micheladas are used as a hangover remedy. I’m not a huge beer drinker, but if the taste is masked with other flavors and liquors, pour me another glass. If you are interested in making your own, a recipe can be found here or it can be purchased at your local grocery store. I may be drinking a few of these to get through Hurricane Sandy aka Frankenstorm this weekend, so feel free to join me. Bottoms up!

  1. reversecommuter is battening down the hatches in preparation for Frankenstorm too – and thinks that a couple of Micheladas might be just what a New Englander needs!
