Appreciate: Anna-Wili Highfield

Can you believe that the sculpture pictured above is made out of paper?! This is one of the works by Sydney based artist Anna-Wili Highfield. She uses biodegradable materials like archived cotton paper and cotton thread and sews them together to create different animal structures. Her works have been featured in Australian Vogue and InStyle and has done private commissions for companies like Anthropologie and Hermes. I wish I could afford to have her create a horse sculpture that I can place above my bed, but I guess I’ll just settle for the pictures. If you are interested in seeing her other amazing sculptures, her official website can be found here.
