Watch: 50/50

It feels kind of uncomfortable to say that a movie that deals about the difficulties of being diagnosed with cancer is funny, but that is exactly what “50/50” is. The dramedy, which stars my future husband, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who plays Will, a 27 year old writer who had been living a low key life until his world gets turned upside down when he diagnosed with rare spinal cancer and has a 50:50 chance of survival. Throughout the process, he has to deal with an over-controlling mother and a philandering girlfriend. Luckily for him, he has the support of his therapist played Anna Kendrick and his best friend played by Seth Rogen, who help him make the most of this life-alternating news. Rogen and especially Gordon-Levitt give amazing performances. If you’re into a movie that will make you laugh and cry, “50/50” is a perfect pick, you won’t regret it.
