Listen: jónsi

Songs: Go Do, We Bought a Zoo, Boy Lilikoi

Jónsi is the lead singer of the Icelandic band, Sigur Rós, who is behind the song everyone hears at the end of an epic trailer, “Hoppípolla“. In 2010, he released his debut solo album, “Go”, during the band’s hiatus. The lead single, “Go Do”, was an instant hit due to its inspirational lyrics, upbeat percussion, and fluttering flutes. In 2011, he was commissioned by Cameron Crowe to compose the soundtrack to the film, “We Bought a Zoo” starring Matt Damon, which, I’m not going to lie, was the part of the reason why I saw this film (which is pretty good, by the way). Whenever you’re in the mood to listen to music that will sweep you off your  feet, I highly suggest Jónsi.
