Wear: Chanel Spring 2013

The set designs at Chanel fashion shows are just as infamous for the clothing Karl Lagerfeld sends down the runway. For the spring 2013 show, there were solar polar windmills lining the runway, which in Lagerfeld’s words, were meant to symbolize that “the wind and sun are free”. I’m not completely sure that means or what it has to do with the collection, but it was beautiful anyway. Strapless dresses in black, white, and chambray went down the runway looking hip and classic at the same time. Other standouts were the sheer dresses with floral and leaf embellishments that looked cute enough to wear to a cocktail party. It seems like this collection had all the elements of classic Chanel with a more youthful modern twist.
