Live: Chalkboard Painted Walls

When I was a kid, I used to draw all over our house’s wall with crayons and markers. I’m pretty sure my dad did not appreciate having to paint over all my little creations. If we had known that there was such thing as chalkboard paint, it would have saved my parents a lot of time. The idea of painting a wall inside the home with chalkboard paint is something that has been popping up in home decor for a while now and is usually found in kitchens and children’s bedrooms. I definitely would not go overboard and paint the whole house in it, but painting just one wall or a small section is a great way to show and encourage creativity.

I love this idea and love this photograph! A restaurant called The Local in Norman, OK has a chalk wall. They made a calendar map of the state of Oklahoma and post events for the month there.

  2. That’s awesome! I actually grew up in Edmond, OK and I went to Norman all the time for OU games, I never went there. I’ll have to check it out whenever I’m in the area
