Listen: PSY

I’m a sucker for cheesy one hit wonders. Earlier this year, I jumped on the Carly Rae Jepsen “Call Me Maybe” bandwagon, but as summer is finally winding down, I was in need of another pop song to fill the void. In comes Korean rapper PSY with his international hit, “Gangam Style”, which at the moment has over 165 million views on YouTube only after 2 months. How did this video become such a viral hit? Because the video is outrageous and over the top (words cannot describe it, you have to check it out for yourselves here if you haven’t seen it yet). It was just announced last week that Justin Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, has signed a record deal with PSY. I’m not sure if  PSY can have another hit in the US, but all the power to him if he does.
