Wear: Marchesa Spring 2013

This is the collection I have been waiting for all week. Marchesa is known for its decadent red carpet dresses covered in lace, intricate beading, and lush fabrics that is hard to find in any other designer’s clothing. Their spring 2013 collection is something I haven’t seen from the design team of Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. The designers were clearly inspired by India, which could be seen the draping of fabrics to make beautiful saris, fringes, and hand embroidery fabrics. Another great thing about the collection was its use of jewel toned fabrics, which is on display in the ruby fringed gown. That being said, I’m not sure how many of these looks will make it to the red carpet, but overall, it was another beautiful collection from Marchesa.
