Wear: Cushnie et Ochs

It’s always refreshing to see young up and coming designers become successful in their fields for creating fresh innovative ideas, and Parsons trained designer Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs have done just that. The duo formed their company in 2008 after graduating, using their awesome last names for the edgy, yet feminine design label.  Ever since their 2009 debut runway show, Cushnie et Ochs have received critical acclaim for their work and recently were finalists for the Vogue CFDA Fashion Fund. They design for the strong, confident woman who proves that showing a little skin can be done in a classy way. Their clothing focuses more on precise execution, sleek lines, and detail as opposed to being trendy. That aesthetic has earned them celebrity fans like Olivia Wilde, Reese Witherspoon, and Michelle Obama. With Fashion Week around the corner, there will be more to see from these fabulous designers.
