Explore: “Carpet of Flowers”- Brussels, Belgium

Every two years, the city of Brussels rolls out its one of its premier events, the Carpet of Flowers, for all to see. It is one of the leading attractions in the capital city of  Belgium, drawing hundreds of thousands of people from around the world. With the help of at least a hundred volunteers, 800,000 begonias, a flower associated with the country, are carefully installed in the cobblestones of the Grand-Place in an intricate design that changes based upon its theme for that year. While the installation is only on display for 3 days and 4 nights, intertwining live music and fireworks, the pictures and the experience of just being there will last a lifetime.
