Drink: Sparkling White Peach Sangria
Back when I was in college, anyone who was anyone ordered a carafe of sangria outside at the tables of Collegetown Bagels. It was basically a sign of social status: you had enough friends to fill a table, you were done with classes for the day, and you were old enough to drink (or at least, your fake ID worked). Sadly, the only option was pre-made sangria from a bottle that came in one flavor: red wine. They would throw a couple oranges and limes for decoration, but everyone knew the drinks were not made with love.
After I expanded my wine preferences from exclusively Franzia , I wondered if there were different variations of sangria that can be used with other wines that aren’t red. Thank goodness for the Internet because I found a recipe for a sangria that combines two of my favorite things: peaches and Moscato. The recipe for Sparkling White Peach Sangria can be found here. Check it out and sip responsibly while enjoying the last days of summer!
